Battlefield 6 Kicks Off Season 4: Naval Warfare, Wake Island, and a Full-Fledged Top Gun Crossover

Battlefield Studios is pulling out all the stops for Season 4: Starting July 21st, “Pacific Front” kicks off the first of three phases of what is set to be the biggest season yet for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC. At its heart is Naval Warfare: On the new map Tsuru Reef, the largest map in the game to date, players will battle across vast air and sea territories, including aircraft carriers with functional flight decks and a new dynamic wave system that makes the sea noticeably more unpredictable.

Things get truly exciting, however, on August 18th with Phase 2: This is when the collaboration with Paramount Games Studio around Top Gun begins. Three characters from the films will enter the game, voiced by their original actors: Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, Lewis Pullman as Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd, and Charles Parnell as Admiral Solomon “Warlock” Bates. Joining them are the iconic jets F-14 Tomcat and F-18 Super Hornet, as well as matching Top Gun-themed skins and cosmetics. In parallel, Wake Island, one of the series' classics, is being re-released, complemented by new air combat-inspired modes like Carrier Strike.

Phase 3 (“Tidal Strike”) concludes the season on September 15th with a Collection Event: Players who complete naval-themed contracts and challenges will secure additional rewards. All in all, Season 4 promises significantly more than just new cosmetics – with Naval Warfare, a revamped classic map, and a genuine Hollywood crossover, Battlefield fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks.
